

The idea of this project was born thanks to my love for the region of Umbria, its products and traditions.
My goal is to offer an unforgettable holiday in central Italy that combines Italian food, art, and our local culture, an holiday during which people can live in a nice and comfortable apartment surrounded by Umbrian hills, discover the secrets of our traditional cooking and enjoy of the artistic richness of our wonderful region!
Our programs include accomodation, cooking classes, half-day tours and meals. You will deal with the professionalism of people in an informal and friendly environment.
Our approach to cooking can be wrapped up in three words - simple, seasonal, and local. Our recipes come from the Mediterranean tradition, especillay form central Italy (Umbria and Tuscany), but we revised a little the original recipes to obtain more healthy foods!
I love recipes that are simple but with great results; some of my favorite recipes have less than 5 or 6 ingredients and can be prepared in less than 1 hour.
Simplicity, fantasy and attention are the mainly ingredients in our classes, and they are the base of of the pleasure of cooking together. The programs on my pages are very flexible and people interested can ask me for changes, i.e. the length of the vacation, the number of cooking lessons and the number and type of excursions.
We can plan together your personal holiday! I personally answer to your email! My presence in the farm is a guarantee for the success of your holiday! The first years of work in this project have been full of satisfactions, as you can see from the testimonials page!

Our Philosophy
The Umbria region is unkown respect on the neighboring Tuscany, but it is a wonderfull region!
It is in the center of Italy, has many Etruscan sites and medieval hill towns. Umbria is often called Italy's green heart
for its nature parks. Umbria also has one of Italy's largest lakes, spectacular waterfalls,
and a big tradition in the cooking.
Raffaella was born in Umbria, and for about 15 years she has dealt with tourism in Italy, from renting apartments,
to organizing various activities and tours for travellers to Umbria. She is the owner of the Farmhouse "la volpe e l'uva" in Perugia and she lives in the farmhouse with her family.
In the programs offered by Let's cook in Umbria she combines her tourism experience with her passion for
food and cooking. Raffaella believe in traditional Italy food, original recipes, and a good time. She is also animated in
her project by the pleasure to meeting people, especially people coming from other countries and to share
with them italian cooking traditions.
