4 days cooking package: Wine, Deruta ceramic, Chocolate and Truffle hunting

Welcome to Umbria! Discover the food, wine, and culture of this wonderful italian region, rivaling Tuscany for its natural beauty and richness, known as the "green heart" of Italy. The visits to winemakers involve a visit to the cellars, a walk through some of the vineyards and ending with a wine tasting with some local food specialties. You will join an expert truffle hunter on his daily search for precious black truffles. You will enjoy the magic of Chocolate coming to the Chocolate Museum in Perugia (Perugina Chocolate Factory).

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY OF THE TOUR

Day 1 - Arrive in Perugia
Arrival at the country farm "La volpe e l'uva" (Perugia, Central Italy, Umbria, near Tuscany). Check-in your apartment at 4:00pm.

Day 2 - Deruta ceramics and Chocolate
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
he wine tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. You will visit a chocolate laboratory in the historic centre of Perugia. The laboratory rises into a five-hundred antique cloister. The chocolate masters create their own brilliant recipes with all their passion to offer real and rare authentic taste. Their passion brings them everyday to experiment and offer new flavours and shapes. The production is exclusively hand made without the use of herbs and essences. The colour and the aroma are only the result of a natural procedure. The chocolates are of high quality and all hand made with nuts, almonds, pine nuts, pistachio, liquor, vodka, whisky, rum, grappa and maraschino.
Than you will visit a ceramic laboratory in Deruta where the majolicas are completely handmade. Their high quality producs keeps the tradition alive and evokes the classic decorations of the various periods of Deruta. The production cycle is completely carried-out within the company and rigorously worked by hand in all its phases.

Day 3- Truffle Hunting (Gubbio)
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. You will visit with a guide the wonderful city of Gubbio. Gubbio is a town located in the northeastern region along the Perugia province of Italy and it is found on the slopes of Monte Ingino. This place is known for its medieval palaces, churches and cathedrals and other historic buildings, which attracts the tourists.
After the tour of the city you will have the experience of the truffle hunting.  You will understand the history and it’s secrets of the truffle, you will live the emotion of picking it in the woods, we will show you how to preserve the truffle and how to use it in cooking. Final truffle tasting with other umbrian specialities.

Day 4 - Wine (Montefalco and Bevagna)
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The wine tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. It is a wine tour in a winery that produces Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCGS. You will have a guided tour of the vineyard, cellars  finishing up with a test of local Umbrian specialties and the wines. You will also visit the medioeval cities of Montefalco and Bevagna.

Day 5 - Departure
